As an educator, Ryan Scarlata has traveled to many states in order to spread the passion of theatre. He recently was awarded a Freddie G. Teacher award from Music Theatre International's Chairman and CEO Freddie Gershon. This award recognized Ryan as an outstanding teacher promoting the transformative power of musical theatre in today's youth. Working with students of all ages youth to adult, he attempts to unlock inherent creativity and hone skills in a professional and safe environment. He specializes in the Viewpoints technique, audition technique, and musical theatre. While he has taught classes ranging from a handful of students to dozens, Ryan also has 15 years experience as a private vocal coach.
